ICYMI - New appointments at Nido Living and Octopus Real Estate as Julie Moret leaves role at Northern Trust Asset Management
In today’s newsletter, Energy & Infrastructure Moves has learned that Octopus Real Estate, part of Octopus Investments and a leading specialist real estate investor and lender, has appointed Daniel Hormaechea as an Investment Manager.
Daniel will work with the Octopus Real Estate teams in London and Madrid as the company focuses on delivering its various investment strategies to the Spanish market.
This appointment comes as Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on January 13 unveiled a proposal to tax by up to 100% the acquisitions of property by non-EU citizens not living in Spain as part of a series of measures seeking to boost supply and reduce demand for housing in the country.
In other news, Nido Living has appointed Rosemary Boot as a Non-Executive Director to its Board. According to sources at Green Street News, Boot will also serve as Chair of the Nido Living Audit and Risk committees.
Also, Julie Moret has reportedly left her role as Global Head of Sustainable Investing and Stewardship at Northern Trust Asset Management. We wish Julie all the best in her future endeavors.
